Jia Zhang was an Associate Professor of the Computer Science department at Northern Illinois University. She obtained her Ph.D. degree from the Computer Science Department of the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2000, and her MS and BS degrees from the Computer Science Department of Nanjing University, China.
Her research interests center on Services Computing, with a focus on collaborative scientific workflows, service-oriented architecture, and semantic service discovery.
She is now serving as an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Services Computing (TSC), an Associate Editor of International Journal of Web Services Research (JWSR). She is Program Vice Chair of IEEE International Conference on Web Services (ICWS).
